Writing, producing, recording, mixing, and finishing records from the first idea through the final master.
I’ve spent years moving between the creative and technical sides of making music. Some projects start with me writing or producing in the room with the artist. Others start with raw vocals, an existing production, or multitracks that need to be mixed and finished.
My background sits between the creative and technical sides of music. I can help shape the song, coach the performance, build the production, solve difficult recording problems, and carry the project through the final mix and master.
The process changes from artist to artist.
I’m comfortable in either place.
My credits span hip-hop, R&B, soul, pop, and music created for film, television, and other media, with work involving artists including Novel Stevenson, Lecrae, Ludacris, India.Arie, Trombone Shorty, and others.

01 FINDING THE SOUND
I usually spend a lot of time listening before deciding what a record needs.
Sometimes the thing worth keeping is obvious. Sometimes it is buried in a rough vocal, an unfinished section, a strange chord change, an effect somebody almost deleted, or a performance that is not technically perfect but has the right feeling.
I like experimenting. I also know when experimentation is getting in the way.
A lot of my production work comes down to figuring out what is already interesting about the artist and making more room for it. That could mean changing the arrangement, rebuilding the production around the vocal, adding something unexpected, or taking things away until the song finally makes sense.
I’m not interested in giving every artist the same record.
02 PRODUCTION + AUDIO ENGINEERING
I work across songwriting and production, but a large part of what I do is also engineering.
I track vocals and instruments, build vocal arrangements, comp and edit performances, clean up difficult recordings, mix, master, and prepare finished material for release.
On one project I may be involved from the first chord. On another, the writing and production may already be finished and I am being brought in specifically to mix it.
That flexibility is important to me because a lot of records do not move through perfectly separated stages.
The EP came together through a close-knit Atlanta team. Novel Stevenson co-wrote the title track, Alex Naylor added guitars throughout the project, Daniela recorded and mixed the EP, and John Horesco mastered it. Sessions took place at Silent Sound and Parhelion.
SONGWRITING + PRODUCTION
Lyrics, melodies, chords, arrangement, instrumentation, additional production, sound design, and developing the overall direction of the song.
RECORDING + VOCAL PRODUCTION
Tracking, performance coaching, comping, doubles, harmonies, tuning, timing, and building vocal arrangements that support the artist rather than flattening the personality out of the performance.
EDITING + AUDIO RESTORATION
Noise reduction, de-reverberation, clicks, unwanted artifacts, difficult source recordings, vocal cleanup, and other repair work when the material needs it.
MIXING + MASTERING
Tone, balance, dynamics, automation, effects, depth, translation, loudness, stems, alternate versions, and final delivery.
I tend to approach the engineering and production as parts of the same record rather than separate jobs happening in isolation.
Expanding the Catalog
The collaboration continued with “Love Sick,” “Cinnamon” featuring Nic Astore, and “Flowers.” I produced, mixed, and mastered each single, contributing to three distinct records within the same ongoing artist-producer relationship.

The release work also included visual production and digital implementation. I developed promotional graphics and music-synced visualizers, prepared assets for distribution and social platforms, and designed and maintained a responsive artist website for Haven’s catalog, release links, artwork, and campaign content.
